HyperSilence.net exists so that you can find and download, for free, the open source PHP scripts I've coded. It's also somewhat of a personal site because you can view pictures of my 1972 Firebird and my 1979 Trans Am. The site was first online June 23, 2005, created with the help of Notepad++ and Adobe Photoshop. This is the fifth layout. There are thirteen PHP scripts.

Information
I've been interested in web design for a while. I started learning HTML in 1998. I had a Pokémon site (didn't everyone?) which took in a couple hundred hits each day. The code was horrible and the majority of the site looked awful (bright red, green, and blue text on a black background...) After a few years, I had already made four or five different personal web sites, which looked better and better each time.
I started learning CSS in 2003, which got me into semantics and validity. PHP came about a year after CSS. Near the end of 2004 and the beginning of 2005, I started writing basic PHP scripts. I had them hosted on my own computer using Apache. My ISP back then was NetZero, so the site got very few hits because of its slowness.
If you take a gander at my source, you'll notice that I'm pretty anal about my coding. I try not to use deprecated tags, I space everything neatly, and even put all my tag attributes in alphabetical order, save the meta tags. I don't condone the use of JavaScript, which is why there isn't any flashing rainbow text or useless dynamic clocks everywhere. This site is an example of what my more than nine years of coding HTML can produce.
